No Trick...Just a Treat!

I heard a noise deep in the night,
While I sat and read by the candle light.

A chill ran through me as I saw,
A small, dark shadow upon my wall.

Whatever could this image be
A soft sweet voice was calling me.

It lured me out into the hall
I couldn’t believe then what I saw.

A ghost, a witch, a clown with big feet.
All standing at my door, yelling
Happy Halloween!
