Easter Just Around the "Bunny Trail" Corner!

The bunny trail is so short this year!  Just 18 days until Easter.  TEN days after St. Patrick's Day!  So, if you decorate for both, not much time to take down the green and put out the bunnies, chicks and eggs.  What a bummer!  Over the years of selling on line, I've learned that the peak selling period for any holiday is about a month before the actual holiday.  So, the selling for that holiday should have started at least two months before the holiday.  That puts us selling Easter when hearts are still a plenty and at the peak of shamrocks and leprechaun hats.  Such a dilemma!  LOL!  By the way, for all you trivia buffs, the earliest date Easter has fallen on was in 1818, when it fell on March 21.  So, I guess I shouldn't complain.  :)

And I don't really like it when Easter comes at its latest.  Just a few years ago, back in 2011, it fell on April 24.  This was the second latest date in history.  It felt like forever to get here, and Mother's Day followed quickly afterward.  But Easter has no set date.  It's always the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the vernal equinox.  But if it could appear on a set date, I like the second Sunday in April.  By then, the weather is more likely to be nice for all the egg hunts than in March.  It's smack dab in the middle of St. Patrick's day and Mother's Day.  And it allows plenty of time to enjoy all the wonderful Easter decorations.

And speaking of decorations, I have Easter eggs, bunnies, peeps and hangings still available.  And they are all listed so you can buy them today!  I ship same day if bought in time to box and get to my post office.  Visit my eBay or Etsy shop to find these and MANY more items listed. So despite Easter being only 18 days away, there's still plenty of time to get them out to enjoy!  Hope you've enjoyed my tidbits and thoughts on this most glorious holiday.  While fun to decorate with bunnies and such, and to enjoy the little ones gathering up eggs, let us not forget the true reason we celebrate Easter....to celebrate the resurrection of Christ!  Happy Easter to you all!  ~~Annie
