Come browse around this wonderful shop!

I couldn't wait a couple days to show you this wonderful antique and junk shop. While on our Saturday morning breakfast excursion yesterday, we found this most wonderful house-turned-antique/junk-shop along Highway 2 in Goldbar, Washington. This is a busy, mostly two lane highway that takes you over Stevens Pass and on to Wenatchee, as well as the wonderful little German town of Leavenworth, WA. Come take a look, and as always, remember to click on the photos to get a better view!

The house sat on a corner...this is a couple views of the front. Pam is the sweet lady who owns and runs this fabulous place! She had lots of wonderful yard art, as that bird house "redo" over to the right. There was also some of the nicest rusty metal art yard pieces.

And this is the side of the house...it provided a nice place to park on this busy street. What a wonderful house this must have been in its hay day with its wraparound porch. I just LOVE to imagine the folks living here long ago and picture them sitting on the front porch, a possible porch swing. Or kids playing out in the yard...

These two are closeups of the side porch. Lots of great rusties. She also had lots of wonderful old windows and shutters!
And this last one is one of the rooms inside the house. I really wish I'd taken more inside, but sometimes I feel uneasy taking pictures when there are customers about. I LOVED this room...it was what once was the kitchen of the home, and of course was filled with all the old kitchen gadgets that I so love!
I must say that these days I practice a little more restraint when shopping these places. I am a huge TS shopper, and it's hard to pay antique store prices. A lot of what I purchase is for reuse and redos for my website creations, so I'm mainly looking for a "good buy". But I DID pick up a couple of old rusty strainers that will get put to great use in my creations. And I just LOVE these little milk white jars she had. They are good and "rusty". Just a little cleaning up and I've got great plans for these for some Christmas creations!

So...take a good look up there. If you see something you absolutely cannot live without, just let me know! I'd love a good excuse to drive back to Goldbar and visit with Pam and browse her wonderful shop once more! If you're ever out that way, make sure to stop! You won't be disappointed! ~~Annie
