Latest Creations!

Well, it was a beautiful weekend up here in the Pacific Northwest. Our temps are still above normal, but no where near as bad as last week. And with little humidity, it was quite pleasant! This was Seafair weekend in Seattle. It's the big event of the summer. They have the hydroplane races on Lake Washington and of course, the main attraction...The Blue Angels! They perform every year at Seafair and it's always an exhilarating sight! Last year I was out in my yard and literally had two of the jets to buzz my house during one of their practice runs. I almost peed my paints, it scared me so bad! But it was so exciting! Wish I had pictures to show you, but they'd pretty much just look like some dots in the sky!

But I DO have a few pictures to show you of some of the latest things I've finished. First of all...I know you won't remember, but a while back I posted a picture of a large white metal pitcher that I'd found at a local GW. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it, but could never get around to making any of my sunflowers. So I did the next best thing and bought these wonderful prim sunflowers from my friend and crafting peer, Leslie, of Primitive by the Hollow. We have very similar styles and I just love her work. If you get a chance, check out her website. Anyway, I used her sunflowers and one of my old crows and created this gathering. I will have this one listed over in my SOATP Emporium shop tomorrow morning.

I also made a couple of pin keeps. These are so much fun!

And finished up a couple more Halloween gatherings. All of these will be posted on my website tomorrow morning. I just love these rustic gatherings for Halloween. The one below has a couple of old witch boots that were left behind in the pumpkin patch one night many moons ago! Guess her feet started hurting while she was out stealing pumpkins and she must have decided to slip them off. By the end of the night she couldn't remember where she'd placed them; so now, there they sit, all dirty and covered in moss. Poor little witchie!

And the one below is the "Forgotten Pumpkin". Looks like it was picked over and left out in the pumpkin patch to rot away. And now it is slowly being taken over by the weeds. It's only company, a lone bat that flies overhead. What a sad ending for this lonely pumpkin!

I still have a few fall gatherings to finish up! This week I'll be working on ornies, ornies, ornies! Orders are pouring in, so the gatherings will have to wait a few days!

And an update on my kitties. Harley is loving the outdoors more and more. He scoots out whenever he can and has another black cat that comes to visit. His name is Puck and he belongs to my son's friend. Anyway...Harley has become a tree climber and loves my Mimosa tree.

He's also quite keen on jumping the fence and visiting the neighbors. But he always comes home when we call him. He knows his home and I'm feeling more and more comfortable letting him out. And where do you suppose Harley is right now? I have my computer in my lap, partially reclined in my chair, and he's lying on my chest, sound asleep! Oh Harley!

And I overheard Trixie just the other day....

"She's ALWAYS taking pictures of that HARLEY! Doesn't she love ME anymore?"

Yes Trixie! I still love you very much! You're just no longer in that cute kitten stage. You're now in that "lounge-around-the-house-and-act-like-a-cat-who-could-care-less-about-what's-going-on" stage! My sweet Trixie!

Don't forget...my giveaway is going on until the 12th! So if you haven't already, make sure to sign up! Hope you all have a nice week ahead! ~~Annie
