Just as Proud as a Peacock!!

Just wanted to share something that I am so proud of...and of course brag a bit! My nephew just became a published author with his new book "Success Made Simple: An Inside Look at Why Amish Businesses Thrive". When Erik was going to college at UNC-Chapel Hill, he spent his summers earning money selling resource books. I'm sure many of you have had some of these college students come by your home during the summer. He continued selling for this company during the summers even after he graduated and soon began selling to families throughout different Amish communities. He became obsessed with learning everything possible about the Amish people and their way of life and soon began his very successful "Amish America" blog. This is a fantastic blog that provides so many interesting facts about the Amish people. It also has some beautiful photos of Amish life!

Through the years Erik has become friends with several Amish families and has even lived and worked with them for weeks at a time. Last summer, my brother and his wife joined their son for a stay with one of these families. I enjoyed listening to their wonderful experiences during their stay! Those experiences and memories from that visit will last a lifetime!

Anyway, Erik's book hit the shelves today! And he is featured in the New York Post today...60 seconds with Erik Wesner! If you get a chance, check out this short question and answer piece about his book. And get a glimpse at my handsome nephew....who is now a published author! Woohoo! Can you tell I'm just as proud as a peacock! ~~Annie
