What I've Been Up To...And My Giveaway Goodies!

I sure have missed you all! I haven't been on the computer much lately and have quite a bit of catching up to do! I'm in the middle of a major bedroom swap! It was only a little over a year ago...January 27th, to be exact...that I unveiled my new craft room redo! I had moved my son out of his room and into his older sister's room, who has long been out attending college. I then took over his bedroom and made it my craft room. To see that wonderful redo, click here.

Well...................for some reason I can't explain, this wild and crazy thought popped into my head, and unbeknownst to me why, I came of with the bright idea to move my son BACK into his old room and take over that room as my craft room!

Now, I don't ordinarily make a habit of switching rooms on a whim. Furniture sure does get heavy and there's always a lot of cleaning involved. But that's what I've been doing the last couple of weeks! It hasn't been easy pulling this switch-aroo, and I've had my website and Etsy shop to keep up with, also. But I'm getting there! I have my son's room almost finished. Just a few craft things left on the closet shelves. The new room is very long. The back half will be my craft room and the front half will have a double bed and dresser. I plan to eventually run a cable and hang a nice curtain to close off the back half. That way, I will have my guest room back for when family comes out to visit. I'll have to show y'all pics once I'm all done. Once I'm finished, I'll be so organized I won't know what to do with myself! LOL!

On Saturday, my mailman was extra nice to me! He brought me TWO packages! I was so excited when I saw them! I was lucky enough to win not one, but two giveaways recently! And they both arrived on the same day!

I won Kim's fantastic three-doily giveaway on her Irish Rose Creations blog. I have always thought from looking at all her wonderful creations that Kim does beautiful work. But to see her creations up close and personal I was totally in awe! What a talented lady! I love the colors and I love the size of these doilies! They hold very special meaning to me, as my mom use to make these and decorate our home with them when I was a little girl. I remember how she would starch her doilies and hold them in place with balled up pieces of wax paper. Those doilies are long gone, so I was thrilled to receive these three! I will be using one as a candle mat. The other two will grace a couple of antique tables I have....once I finish my house cleaning! Thank you, Kim! I will always treasure these beautiful pieces!

My second package was a very nice surprise! Nancy, over at Inside Nanas Head, recently had a giveaway and I won second prize. I had told her how much I loved her bunny, Annabelle! (I've been called that a few times over the years, as well as Anniebananie.) Anyway, I was so excited when I opened the box and there sat Annabelle! She is absolutely adorable! She will find a permanent home, too, once this house gets cleaned this week! For now, she looks pretty sitting in this old antique chair. Her bloomers match my afghan! Thank you so much, Nancy! You're a sweetheart!

I'm in the middle of one of my "power creating sessions"! I will be listing LOTS of new creations late Sunday night! I've got Americana ornies, gatherings, hangings and sitters in the making, as well as a few new spring and sunflower gatherings, and some new ornie designs. I also have a few new candle mats and a new pin keep design. All coming after Easter! So make sure to keep a watch on my Olde Annie Primitives website, as well as my Etsy shop! Now...if I can just figure out how to get about 8 extra hours in each day! LOL!

Hope everyone has spring in the air! Now that spring is here, we are finally getting our WINTER weather! Geez! Happy spring to you all! ~~Annie
